The TEAM High School Show has added a new member to its cast.
Starting this season, Albuquerque Journal prep sports editor and staff writer, James Yodice, will be joining Gary Herron every Saturday at 10:00 am to bring you up-to-the-minute coverage of prep sports across the state of New Mexico.
“I’m very excited, it’ll be great to have a new venue, a new format, to talk about some of the issues that are going on in high school athletics,” said Yodice. “Of course, I’ve known Gary a long time, he and I go way back, I think it’ll be a great environment for the both of us, and I’m really looking forward to getting started.”
Yodice has been covering prep sports for the Albuquerque Journal for 32 years and enters his 33rd year this upcoming season. He has provided content read by high school sports fans all across the state and will expand that coverage with this added role on 101.7 The TEAM.
TEAM High School Show host Herron is excited to have Yodice join the show. “James, of course, has expansive knowledge on prep sports, especially in the metro area and beyond the metro area,” Herron said. “We’ll probably have some disagreements, which always makes for lively radio, but we do certainly love high school sports.”
This is also Herron’s 11th season hosting the TEAM High School Show. It will be the first time Herron will have a co-host in 10 years on the show since he was joined by the late Mike Roberts.
The TEAM High School Show returns to your sound waves on August 25th at 10:00 am after our first high school football broadcast of the season, which will take place August 24th when the Valley Vikings host the Albuquerque High Bulldogs.
